"On a summer night in 1979 between games of a White Sox doubleheader at Comiskey Park, Chicago rock deejay Steve Dahl created a fireworks show out of a bunch of Donna Summer and KC and The Sunshine Band albums. Disco Demolition Night started a riot, left the field unplayable and caused the Sox to forfeit a game, but it couldn't kill dance music. Only a few blocks from the ballpark on the city's South and West Sides, a rougher, grittier sound called House was already rising out of disco's ashes. 'I view House as a disco's revenge,' says Frankie Knuckles, who was already being called The Godfather at Chicago's Warehouse when disco went boom...House was not so much a new thing as a wild thing. Like disco, house is an all night religious experience with deejays as ministers who laid down the gospel from on high in a darkened booth armed only with a stack of 12-inch singles, a pair of turntables and a drum machine."

"In general practice, a 'rave' usually refers to a party, usually all night long, open to the general public, where loud 'techno' (House) music is mostly played and many people partake in a number of different chemicals, though the latter is far from necessary. The number of people at the event is unimportant; it can range from 50 people to 25,000 people. The cost of attendance is also unimportant - there have been good raves and bad raves at both ends of the cost spectrum (though in practice, the higher the price, the more commercial the event, and the lower the quality). At a rave, the DJ is a shaman, a priest, a channeller of energy - they control the psychic voyages of the dancers through his choice in hard-to-find music and their skill in manipulating that music, sometimes working with just a set of beats and samples, into a tapestry of mind bending music. A large part of the concept of raves is built upon sensory overload - a barrage of audio and very often visual stimuli are brought together to elevate people into an altered state of physical or psychological existence."

"The actual concept of raves is not new - it is as old as time itself. At the base level, raves are very comparable to American Indian religious ceremonies, i.e. pow-wows, and also to the concept of the Shaman in Eskimo and Siberian society - where music is the key towards pulling oneself in to a unique emotional and psychological state, a state in which one experiences washes of sensations and visions, not delusions, but visions. Sounds very hokey in print, but I'm sure MANY of you out there know what I'm talking about. They hypnotizing effect of techno music coupled with the seamless transitions and thematic progressions of rave DJ's as the night progresses can be QUITE intoxicating, resulting in what could be closely compared to a religious experience. Music in general has always been able to sweep people off their feet, but what distinguishes raves are the concept of the shared experience...

"The music comes down like a wrecking ball, it sledgehammers the dancers into insensibility and ultimate receptivity to the beat....the need is to merge with the music and become one in a state of technobliss, of rhythmic nirvana. It's like a collective hive, and the dancers are the drone bees, the workers in their fervent dance inside the hive. It's very shamanistic--conscious thought is abandon in the swirl of light, sound and sweat. It seems almost pagan, especially in the people here who aren't hard-core industrial fans. They are Christians looking to shed Western society for a night and dance around the witch's fire, except the fire is a whirling spotlight on a go-go dancer and the chants and rituals are massively amplified."

Taking Back what was Stolen!
The above definitions are just a few explanations of the spiritual marriage between music, dance, light and energy. This ceremony is performed almost nightly in large cities and towns of this world. The rave is a wonderful example of a rarely discussed phenomenon heaving itself powerfully, yet subtly. The rave began many years ago in Europe as a celebration of love, freedom and positive energy. Far from the throws of the sixties, the rave culture developed underground as an alternative expression of Love: a new forum to express our positive, individual spirituality. It was amazing!
Over the years, the rave movement has been literally destroyed by darkness and drug abusers whom have lost their way. They claim the euphoria of drugs to be the same goal as the rave's original positive vibe focus. Many new ravers fail to note the difference between drug use and drug abuse. What was once an amazing forum to express ourselves without FEAR, is no longer. Supernatural negativity has invaded the vibe because 'the rave' began to create an atmosphere of unconditional love. We were so CLOSE during the early 1990's to achieving a new perspective of Love. Original ravers have almost disappeared as a result of this massive assault.
The amount of dark spiritual worship found in the underground today is mind blowing. Legions of lost souls gather in clouds of confusion and fear, all the while claiming they have found nirvana. They willingly surrender their consciousness to unseen things as confusion shrouds their minds and darkens their souls. In contrast, those shining the Light in these very same scenes are becoming less and less frequent. Spiritual battle has become the result. Only evil could take something destined to be so wonderful and turn it into something deceptive, insincere and all together dark.
.
Regardless if society refuses to acknowledge the attack of evil upon all of us, there are situations which require attention. We cannot allow the minds of sleeping souls to be sucked into a vortex of darkness. We cannot allow the darkness at any level to become a socially cool trend. WE MUST TAKE BACK THE RAVE!Renouncing the 'positive vibe' is spiritual suicide. It is death. When we renounce the 'positive vibe' we are renouncing all things worthy of Love and Truth. We then are renouncing God. Our kind seeks to demonstrate clarity regarding "positive and negative" energy. Music and dance are powerful when filled with the spirit of Love. This can be demonstrated only by example. This is our labor, for it will help awaken others. You may be amazed at what the power of Love can do...for Love is not weak. And neither are we. So, GO TO THOSE RAVES and SHINE YOUR LIGHT. Let's take back what was stolen from us. The choice is ours, individual.
We are creating rave history at this moment. The saga continues. What will be the outcome? Who will win the fight? Who will take a stand for the Light, and who will give up their eternal souls to darkness. Wow! This is an exciting time for all of us...

. "Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God. And, everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. They who loveth not, knoweth not of God...for God is Love." (John I 4:7-8) . "There is no fear in love; perfect love drives out all fear. So then, love has not been made perfect in anyone who is afraid, because fear has to do with punishment." (John I 4:18) . "If the world hates you, just remember it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, then the world would love you as its own. But I chose you from this world, and you do not belong to it; that is why the world hates you." (The words of Christ according to John 15:18)
