DISCERNMENT

A Three-Part Series on Good and Evil by T.G. Johnson

Are Supernatural Forces Dangerous?

Although you may have a wondrous relationship with God, there are no mortal experts in dealing with the supernatural realms -- regardless of their claims. Any mortals dealing with evil supernatural forces are only being deceived; and any mortal who claims to have a relationship with a mysterious supernatural force is in all probability being deceived as well. Thus, any information they provide is useless. Supernatural evil is dangerous because it uses illusions and very complicated deceptions. The world is fooled. Ironically, billions of people who claim to have experienced positive energy have actually experienced the void. As harsh as this sounds, evil impersonates the Light and multitudes have been fooled by its deceptions. They believe to have had an experience with God - when in reality, they have had an experience with evil. The supernatural world is largely a mystery and our relationships with God are most often personal. Because of this, there is little mature discussions of these subjects.

We all tend to perceive supernatural experiences in different ways, thus the supernatural world is largely conjecture to most people. Due to fear and the refusal to confront death, the unknown is usually a dangerous thing because people have no basis for comparison and can react violently, or just shut down. Many people claim to have no practical experience with the supernatural, and will react one of several ways when confronted with good or evil forces:

1)  They acknowledge it, then fear it, and then run away from it.

2)  They immediately acknowledge it as a superior being.

3)  They ignore it completely; pretending the encounter did not occur.

Unfortunately, ALL three of these common responses in dealing with the unknown will make a person victim to further supernatural harassment.

Those who acknowledge a supernatural force and run from it are allowing themselves to be susceptible to the deceptions of evil through FEAR. Those who immediately acknowledge a supernatural force as 'superior' are incredibly IGNORANT. Religious individuals are often fooled into surrendering control to evil in this way - thinking the force appearing before them to be God or divine. Those who actually acknowledge a supernatural being as immediately superior without testing it have not learned the value of who and what they are as a child of God. Finally, those who ignore any encounter with the supernatural and DENY the encounter are only creating their own illusions and hiding from the factuality of the event. The more they pretend the event did not occur, the more lost they will become. For it is the truth which sets us free.

With regards to anything supernatural, your duty is to test it. But because of either fear, ignorance or denial, we find very few people who are willing to test a supernatural force. Thus, in order to ascertain its status as good or evil, it is your responsibility to test supernatural forces which present themselves. In dealing with ANY supernatural force, they can easily be categorized as either good or as evil. They are either of God's family, or they are not. Those forces which claim to be above God or not affiliated with God, but are still good, are lying to you. God is the Creator. While the Holy Spirit is a comforter and supernatural friend to many, there are few other good beings which would attempt to contact us. It is very improbable we would encounter any good supernatural being, other than God or the Holy Spirit, which are one of the same. Regardless of what you encounter, you must determine its intentions.

If God were to personally make an appearance, you would probably not be moved to question His identity. But you MUST remember that evil disguises itself as God. If you did feel ANY doubt, it is your responsibility to test now and ask for forgiveness later. In this world, it is far more likely you will encounter supernatural evil; and it is pointless to ascertain the intentions of supernatural evil because it is deceptive and will lie about its nature. You must practice with patience and courage, knowing it was Jesus Christ who directed us to test all things. It is far better to deny God in ignorance then to welcome evil as God.

When we eventually conclude we must stop waiting for others to take action, and take action ourselves to test a supernatural force, the tools for exactly how to do this will make themselves known. If you seek, you shall find. In trying to determine if a supernatural force poses a danger to your body, mind or soul, or to that of others, you must first test that force to determine its status as good or evil. Once a reasonable conclusion has been made, you are then ready to determine if that force is dangerous. Evil is only dangerous to the ignorant.

Unlike modern-movies, demonic possession is not something that can 'just happen' to people. Those who are willingly influenced by supernatural forces either made a choice to become a host or did so by their actions. Either way, a clear choice was made prior to surrendering their control. Supernatural evil can't simply take you over without an extended invitation. Unfortunately, there are multitudes who do choose to be a 'human battery' for supernatural evil. When this occurs, the soul-energy of the host person is twisted and redirected by unseen forces which feed off the energy like a tick on a dog. Since this is a vulgar mutation from the natural design of our soul energy, the redirected energy is very weak when compared to an aware person directing their own soul's energy; or directing their own energy with God's guidance.

If supernatural evil were to steal the soul power of billions of people, it is still NOT more powerful than God, nor more powerful than one aware individual in touch with their soul who holds a steadfast faith in God. This is largely a matter of your faith in God's power. When we know the truth about where evil's power actually originates, that truth will set us free. Based upon this information, supernatural evil does not necessarily pose a danger or threat to any of us. Unfortunately, many people do not hold a steadfast faith in God; not to mention faith in themselves to overcome supernatural evil; or knowledge of the truth. And when surrounded by millions who cling to evil as though it were good, making the choice to break away from accepted understanding into a spiritual reality not accepted by this world can provoke doubt within us.

Because most people live in fear, ignorance and denial, evil is indeed a very dangerous force which threatens this world. By using our own fears against us, evil can produce illusions and deceptions which could make us hurt ourselves. Thus, the old sayings are true: we are our own worst enemy; and the only thing to fear is fear itself. Therefore, we must help ourselves so God will help us.

We do not know the extent to which supernatural evil can use the stolen power of the human soul. It is beyond our reasoning to grasp, but we must NOT allow fear of the unknown to birth more fear in our minds. Illusions and deceptions can be created, physical manifestations can occur, objects can be moved, voices can be heard and possibly much more. While the manifestation of supernatural evil can be a frightening experience, you must keep in mind these are games. They are illusions, even though they may seem very real. In keeping with its deceptive nature, the illusions created by supernatural evil are not always terrifying - as previously discussed. The proverbial 'angel of darkness' seeks to disguise itself as the Light. For a literal example, there is an entity known in San Francisco as 'the goddess' who is worshipped by thousands of people. In reality, it is a demon who pretends to be a 'child-spirit of truth for a new age'. There are larger examples of this which would literally blow your mind. Still, a single person with Love can defeat those demons and their many followers.

Supernatural evil is very dangerous to this world even if those dangers are not physical. Mental and soulful anguish are often more permanent than physical abuse. Fear, guilt, doubt, panic and hatred are tools of evil which it uses to encourage us to hurt ourselves. Fear and doubt are the most common because so few people seem to have a solid faith in Love. Evil uses guilt to detach us from the power of our souls. Evil uses panic to rush us into poor choices.

There are people who willingly worship supernatural evil. In fact, there are actually many. These people refuse to acknowledge their gods and goddesses are actually nothing more than the proverbial evil. They are pitifully blind and ignorant; some already spiritually dead. They shut out the truth and choose to embrace illusions. They are in almost irreparable danger because they act upon conscious choices to turn against God. They blindly worship and bow down before grotesque demons who present themselves as beautiful, 'all knowing' spirits. They surrender their minds, bodies and souls to demons claiming to be their friend. They exchange their priceless, soul-energy for nothing but empty promises of salvation, power, money, lust or fame. It is truly disgusting.

There is no basis, religious or otherwise, to fear evil. In learning to deal effectively with the challenges of the supernatural, we must find humble comfort knowing we are not born with knowledge of the truth, it must be learned. It must be earned. As for evil, Jesus Christ instructed people to learn to 'cast it out with authority'. Learning truth takes time, and there is no shame in not knowing an answer when we need it most, for God will come to your aid in a sincere time of need. Trust in God is important to building your faith. We must seek to forgive ourselves and others, so anger and hatred can never bloom within us; and so we, ourselves, may be forgiven. We must not allow panic to enter our minds. There is plenty of time to learn what you need to know, so take it sure and take it slow. If we do run out of time, take comfort in your efforts to learn about love and truth in the time you had. If you've never tried, there's no time like today...

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are as one."

(Words of Christ, per John 10:27)
