United we shine,
Divided we are blind.

"The B'rave News Review" was a flyer-style prelude to this web site which was first published in the early 1990's. The newsletter was created to urge club kids and ravers towards the positive vibrations of Love. It was not a typical religious flyer, rather it discussed positive and negative energy. At the time the BNR came into existence, the contributing authors of this site were not religious, nor did we have much faith or belief in God. But when confronted by bizarre and evil supernatural forces in the rave and club scene, we searched everywhere for some way to fight back. Only after time did we realize the only defense against 'evil' was 'good'. The only offense was to call upon the power of God. This led to discoveries of love and truth. A very important truth we discovered was people did not need to be 'religious' to have a relationship with God. While we know God and Christ to exist, we are still not religious. To people like us, being 'religious' is not part of 'the way'.

Originally published in San Francisco, CA, the BNR was distributed as far away as New York, NY. The BNR gave way to our web site, which reaches out to people all around the world. Our regular visitors now include folks from the US, the UK, Germany, and Australia. The enthusiasm we receive is overwhelming.

From the point of discovering good and evil, your journey is only just beginning. The world is a corrupt place, filled with distortions and manipulations of the truth. Religion gives little interest to any real supernatural battles - they would rather focus on the worldly politics of power. We can literally find ourselves with no where to turn once we begin to grasp the hidden manna of Love. This special understanding transcends biblical interpretations and reaches into the realization of a living God in our daily lives. Religion does not hold such understandings nearly as important as traditional and fundamentalist rhetoric which comfortably confines God to a book. The secular world shuns real spiritual understanding because of its misguided association with religion. The two opposing sides are the wide roads. The narrow road is what we tend to find, but reject because of the lack of support we find for it in this world. Where can people share real experiences with good and evil, and the resulting insights into Love and Truth? The answer lay in you.

People of our mindset discover hypocrisy and frustration within organized religion. Religion does offer many beginning steps into the realms of spiritual exploration, but stands at the doorway of real discovery and does not allow anyone to enter. Futility and apathy tend to plague those in the secular world. When faced with this paradox, we often become complacent before finding the courage to passionately seek Love and Truth. We can easily harbor prejudices and guilt in our minds, upon discovering the world does not offer any real encouragement for our spiritual explorations after a certain point. The evolution of the soul is discouraged. Many people reject any notions of God because of organized religion, before they grow enough to realize our journey into understanding is largely a personal exercise.

Christians are wrongly led to believe they need to worship Christ as a god. Yet while God and Christ are as one, they are distinctly different entities. In truth, we are not supposed to worship Christ - we are meant to be like Christ. In this, you are the Christ and I am the Christ seeking to be as one with God. This means we are not the helpless, mortal creatures religion often portrays us to be - rather we are the children of God. We must take control of our circumstances and our spiritual existence. We must take care of our spiritual existence, just as we take care of our physical existence. Where in the world can people share real experiences with good and evil, and the resulting insights into Love and Truth? The answer lay in you.

Within this site there is perspective on how to be a positive warrior. If you have found the courage to open your heart and mind to the truth that Love is the most awesome and powerful force to exist, chances are you may be looking for some encouragement. Just as the original newsletter offered insights about how to take a stand for Love, so does this site. And more. The offerings here are not guaranteed to be solutions, rather they are tools and encouragement for understanding.

Finally, this site was created to say: do not fear. Search for Truth by working to overcome your dependency for approval from others in this world. Search for Love by allowing the beautiful light of your soul to shine through in reaching out to others. Search for courage to embrace good and stand against evil. This has little to do with moral perfection touted by religion as the only means of salvation - and much more to do with your own ability to nurture and unlock the love you hold within you. The lock is in one hand, the key in the other. You must make the choice to use them. Personal responsibility is of paramount importance.

God is much more than we expect, and the power of Love is beyond imagination.  Seek out the real truth of Love and attempt to share it. If I can encourage you to pursue a relationship with God regardless of your preconceived ideas and to take a stand for Love without fear or embarrassment, then this site will serve its purpose. While our personal spiritual battles may seem too strange for others to deal with, have the courage and the fortitude to stand up, shine your light, and speak the truth with an open heart and an open mind. We are, after all, a family.

United (in the spirit of Love) we shine. Divided (by our fears) we are blind.

Eternally,
